going to warsaw for my erasmus exchange was a total change. after nine years of this incredible experience, here's a quick summary of my top tips to make your stay unforgettable!
dive into the city’s vibe
warsaw’s got this amazing mix of old and new. check out the old town for its cool, historic vibe, then hit up the palace of culture and science for epic city views. grab a bike or walk around because there’s a lot to see!

try all the typical food
polish food is awesome. but the ones you can’t definitely miss out are pierogis (dumplings) and zapiekanka (polish pizza).

get involved on campus
universities are buzzing with activities. join student groups & make friends at the events, and don’t skip out on erasmus student network (ESN) parties—they’re legendary!
exploring beyond the city
take your weekends to explore other cities, such as krakow or wroclaw. trains and buses make it easy, so plan trips that allow you to see everything you can. oh, and if you're there at christmas, you'll have the pleasure of experiencing the magic of the christmas markets all over the city.
learn some polish
polish might be tricky, but learning a few phrases can be super helpful and make you feel more immersed in the culture of this country.
balance school and fun
juggling studies and social life can be tough, but it’s the real key. stay on top of your assignments while still exploring and hanging out!
creating memories - the most important one
take lots of photos so you can look back on your adventures later. It's a great way to go back in time and remember your stay in warsaw. and of course, before you go home, don't forget to throw a farewell party to celebrate with the friends you've made.
